Needle ("the app", "we", "us") is a focus and productivity app developed by Galiya Zhenis. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how. We respect your privacy and designed Needle to keep your data on your device by default.

Summary

• Your focus sessions, tags, and settings are stored on your device.
• If you turn on iCloud Sync, that data is also stored in your own private iCloud account (handled by Apple), so it syncs across your devices.
• We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data, and we do not run our own analytics or advertising trackers.

Information the app handles

Focus data you create. Timer sessions, tags, streaks, ambient-sound preferences, and app settings. This is stored locally on your device.

iCloud sync (optional). If you enable "Sync with iCloud" in Settings, your focus data is mirrored to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit so it stays in sync across your Apple devices. This data lives in your iCloud account, which is controlled by you and Apple. We cannot read it.

Purchases (Needle+). Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides us only an anonymous confirmation of whether a subscription is active.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or location.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Third-party services

Needle relies on Apple services (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit). Your use of these is also governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays until you delete it. You can remove sessions and tags inside the app, delete the app to remove local data, and manage or delete iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings.

Children's privacy

Needle is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
